Former Gov. Larry Hogan entered the race in February and was considered the favorite from the beginning of the Republican primary race and easily won.

Late Tuesday evening, the Associated Press called the Democratic primary for Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks as she held a 10-percentage point lead over U.S. Rep. David Trone, D-District 6, with 44% of the total vote counted.
