Three suspects are being held on weapons and ammunition charges in connection with a shooting that killed a teenager during a Massachusetts house party. Wallisom Texeira Da Silva, 20, of Hyde Park; Arnoldo Nogueira Filho, 19, of Northborough; and Pedro Desouza-Passos, 27, of Rockland, were in court Monday to face the firearm-related charges in connection with the death of the 16-year-old victim who was shot during a large party in Northborough. All are being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said the 16-year-old victim was from Bellingham. He said the superintendent of Bellingham Public Schools has been notified that a teenager from that area was shot and killed.As of Monday afternoon officials have not released the identity of the 16-year-old because his family is out of the country. Authorities said that shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, a partygoer flagged down a police officer and told them someone had brandished a gun at 333 Howard St., the property where the party was happening.That Northborough police officer requested assistance from state police and from police departments in nearby communities.Early said that while officers were preparing to enter the property, which is approximately two acres, they heard multiple gunshots.At that point, police entered the property and the home, where Early said there were about 300 people in what he described as a “chaotic scene.”First responders from the Northborough Fire Department rendered medical aid to the 16-year-old shooting victim at the scene. A Northborough police officer and Massachusetts State Police trooper carried the teen to a waiting ambulance, according to Early. The district attorney said the victim was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he was pronounced dead.Early said a 17-year-old was shot in the buttocks during the house party. That shooting victim was transported to Marlborough Hospital for treatment of his injuries and has since been released. Two others were also treated at Marlborough Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and several others who were treated for injuries at the scene declined further treatment. According to a police report, an on-call detective from Northborough received a call at 1:53 a.m. about a reported shooting with multiple victims at 333 Howard St. The detective said he helped with processing a silver Nissan with New York plates and the occupants who were inside. According to the report, the driver was celebrating her 21st birthday. Da Silva, Nogueira Filho and Desouza-Passos were all in the back seat. A fifth occupant was in the front passenger seat.Inside the car, the detective and a Southborough Sergeant said they found ammunition and magazines inside two black purses. “As daylight came, they found a handgun on a stone path that was leading up to the home. This defendant was asked about that and he admitted that the firearm belonged to him,” Michael Luzzo, an assistant district attorney, told the court during Da Silva’s arraignment.All of the defendants were allowed to stand behind a whiteboard in court, concealing them from cameras and the public.
