The Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) China team seems to be using everything they can to attract local customers.

Chinese customers who complete their vehicle deliveries between May 25 and June 30 will have the chance to win a free tour of Tesla’s Fremont factory in the US, the electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today on Weibo.

The lucky winner will be able to take a 1-day trip to Giga Fremont, and Tesla will cover the vehicle owner’s airfare and transportation costs to and from the US factory tour from anywhere in China, according to its poster.

Tesla’s poster doesn’t mention how many lucky winners there will be, and the opportunity is only available to customers who purchase a new Tesla vehicle, with owners needing to obtain their own visas to visit the US.

In addition to the Giga Fremont visit, Chinese customers who complete delivery of their vehicles by June 30 will also have the opportunity to receive a free 10,000 kilometer Supercharging mileage, according to Tesla’s poster.

Tesla has significantly ramped up its marketing efforts in China this month, as it faces more pressure in a more competitive landscape.

Two days ago, Tesla said on May 25 that customers who visit any Tesla store in China for a test drive before June 30 will have a chance to win a 2-day visit to Giga Shanghai.

On May 17, Tesla took to Weibo to once again market its 0 down payment purchase program, saying that customers who buy select versions of the Model 3 and Model Y that have already been produced by June 30 can choose between two options: 0 down payment and 0-interest loans.

On May 20, Tesla announced that Chinese customers who order a Tesla vehicle before June 20 will have the opportunity to receive a 5,000-kilometer free supercharging entitlement, but the quota is limited to 140 places.

The stronger marketing comes as Tesla is reported to have reduced production of its hot-selling Model Y in Shanghai factory.

Tesla’s Shanghai factory planned to cut Model Y production by at least 20 percent between March and June, Reuters said in a May 24 report, citing a person who asked not to be named.

It was not clear whether the production cuts would extend into the second half of this year or the Model 3, and whether Tesla’s factories in the US and Germany were taking similar production cuts, the report noted.

The Shanghai factory is Tesla’s largest in the world, with an annual capacity of more than 950,000 vehicles, and produces the Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover.

Xiaomi aims to start selling SUV similar to Tesla Model Y as early as 2025, report says
