Leading global creator company Whalar today announced the appointment of Jason Li to the newly created role of global EVP, strategy.

On the appointment of Jason Li, Whalar CEO, Rob Horler said, “We are committed to remaining an industry leader that empowers creators, brands, and platforms in the Creator Economy. With Jason on board as the driving force behind shaping and expanding our strategic creator frameworks, we are well positioned to boost our impact even further. His expertise and vision align seamlessly with our mission, and we eagerly anticipate the valuable contributions he will make on this exciting creator journey with us.”

Before joining Whalar, Jason served as global director at Meta’s Creative Shop where he scaled Meta’s advertising business through creative excellence and product innovation. During his 12 year tenure at Meta (formerly Facebook), Jason led digital transformation for Fortune 500 clients in CPG, retail, technology verticals and grew adoption of Instagram Stories, Reels, and the metaverse.  Additionally, Jason held a series of brand management and innovation positions at Procter & Gamble, where he led the launch of the successful ‘Thank you, Mom’ campaign behind the Olympic Games and the companywide digital restructure.

Whalar continues to be at the forefront of growth within the Creator Economy, recently appointing Sam Hicks as UK Managing Director, and earlier this year appointed Ashley Rudder as the industry’s first Chief Creator Officer.
