Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.60% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Israeli stocks were higher after the close on Monday, with gains in , and sectors leading stocks higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the index gained 1.60%, hitting a 3-month high.

The best performers of the session on the were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:), which rose 7.83% or 188.00 points to trade at 2,588.00 at the close. In the meantime, Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:) added 6.52% or 1,550.00 points to end at 25,330.00 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:) was up 4.92% or 1,830.00 points at 39,000.00 in late trading.

The worst performers of the session were Newmed Energy LP (TASE:), which fell 0.48% or 5.00 points to trade at 1,035.00 at the close. First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TASE:) fell 0.40% or 60.00 points to end at 14,930.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:) was 0.00% or 0.00 points down at 27,680.00.

On the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered falling ones, 422 to 72, and 43 finished unchanged.

Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:) shares rose to a 52-week high, closing at 1,271.34. up 6.52% or 1,550.00 to 25,330.00. Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:) shares rose to a 52-week high, closing at 1.27m. gaining 4.92% or 1,830.00 to 39,000.00.

Crude oil for February delivery fell 0.61% or 0.44 to $71.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery fell 0.10% or 0.08 to $77.07 a barrel, while February gold futures fell by 0.56% or 11.70 to trade at $2,071.80 per troy ounce.

USD/ILS rose 0.62% to 3.62, while EUR/ILS rose 0.31% to 4.00.

U.S. dollar index futures rose 0.15% to 101.06.
