2 N.J. pizzerias named among 50 top in the U.S. by Italian website

New Jersey, the pizza capital of the America, has once again made it on a national top pizzas list not once, but twice.

The Italian website 50 Top Pizza released their top 50 top pizzerias in the United States for 2024 list and two of the state’s pizza shops along with a New Jersey native made the list.

Razza Pizza Artigianale in Jersey City took the No.13 spot while Bricco Coal Fired Pizza in Haddon Township ranked No. 29.

And at No. 1 is Una Pizza Napoletana. While the pizza shop is stationed in New York City, the mastermind behind the shop is none other than Anthony Mangieri.

Mangieri is a New Jersey native who opened the now-closed Sant Arsenio in Red Bank in 1993 and opened the first Una Pizza Napoletana in Point Pleasant in 1996 before relocating to the East Village of Manhattan in 2004.

After relocating to San Francisco in 2010, the shop returned to the Lower East Side in 2018. A location also opened in Atlantic Highlands in 2020, but closed in 2021.

Other places on the list include Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco at No. 2 and Pizzeria Beddia in Philadelphia at No. 3.
