AGESA 1.0.0.7B is now available from select motherboard manufacturers with some improvements for faster connection. DDR5 memory kits. As an AMD rep reported on Reddit, the new AGESA microcode is finally rolling out after more than 2 months of development.
For now, select only B650 asrock models, X670 models from Asus and MSI as well as X670E models from Gigabyte and ASRock have received the update, but the new version should be released for everyone else AM5 models towards the end of this month.
Some of the highlights of version 1.0.0.7B:
- Memory context restore option can now reduce power button to desktop times to around 15 seconds
- Many processors can now run at least DDR5-6400 1:1
- DDR5-7200 CL32 is easier to achieve, and according to the silicon lottery, DDR5-7600/7800 and even 8000/8200 speeds can be achieved with a bit of tinkering. Buildzoid showed that an ASRock LiveMixer B650 priced at $223 can run DDR5-8000 stably. MSI MEG X670 ACE can run DDR5-7600 OCed to 8200.
- Added DDR5 Nitro mode to enable DDR5-7000 and higher compatibility
- Added settings to allow users to modify memory training behavior. RAM kits can now be trained longer and achieve better OC margins and stability.
