AMD has two new GPUs set to launch as part of the RX 7000 series, and now we have a first look at possible early SKUs for these new cards.

The purported 3DMark performance scores for the Radeon RX 7700 and RX 7800 graphics cards were recently posted online by a Twitter user @All_The_Watts.

The Radeon RX 7700 scored 15,465 points in the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark. For comparison, the previous generation Radeon RX 6700 XT has an average score of 11,970 points and can reach 15,087 points when paired with powerful hardware. According to additional data shared by the source, this puts the RX 7700 just between Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and the RTX4070which looks promising.

Moving on to the Radeon RX 7800, it managed to deliver a score of 18,197 points on the same benchmark, although benchmark details are unknown. If the benchmark test was run by pairing the GPU with a modern high-end machine, it looks like it won’t be able to match the performance of its predecessor, the Radeon RX6800. This is because the RX 6800 can go up to 20,239 points on a high performance system.

There is also additional information shared by YouTuber Moore’s law is dead. The video claims that two new Navi 32-based GPUs are in development and are expected to arrive later this year. Although the names are not finalized, AMD could opt for the RX 7800 XT/RX 7800 16 GB and the RX 7700 XT/ RX 7700 12 GB. The RX 7800 model should come with 16 GB of 256-bit memory, a strip 19.5 Gbps memory bandwidth, a 60CU (compute unit) configuration and a total board power (TBP) of 260 watts.

The RX 7700, on the other hand, could arrive with a 48 CU to 54 CU configuration, 12 GB of memory on a 192-bit bus, 19.5 Gbps memory bandwidth, and 245 W TBP. There is also a third SKU which could potentially feature a hybrid Navi 31 and Navi 32 architecture with 70 CUs, 260 W TBP and 16 GB of memory.

AMD hasn’t officially confirmed any launch information, but expect the company to make an announcement, or at least showcase the new GPUs at Gamescom 2023 in Germany, which is scheduled for August 23-27. Shipping of these new GPUs could begin sometime in September 2023. This hybrid Navi 31 and Navi 32 model does not yet have a release window, but is expected to launch silently with limited production units.

A friendly disclaimer that all of the above information is unofficial, so best viewed with skepticism.
