AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D Specs Leaked

According to sources, the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D specifications have leaked and should give good news to PC gamers still using the AM4 socket for their CPUs. While AMD has promoted the AM5 socket for their latest offerings, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D is among a slate of planned AM4 releases that could hit the market soon.

As a platform, the last-generation AM4 socket for AMD Ryzen CPUs was succeeded by the launch of the Ryzen 7000 series of CPUs that are only compatible with the AM5 socket. The AM4 socket is widely considered by PC enthusiasts to be a “dead-end” platform due to a lack of support for features that are exclusive to the newer sockets. Some of these features include DDR5 RAM and PCIe 5.0 technology for graphics cards and solid-state drives. The AM4 is compatible with cheaper DDR4 memory and other PCIe 4.0 peripherals. As a result, AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs such as the 5600x are among the top budget CPU picks for PC builders who want to get the best performance possible within their price range.

While the AM5 socket is still the platform for future generations of Ryzen CPUs, the AM4 platform is not quite done yet. According to Wccftech, a Persian outlet called “sakhtafzarmag” stated that the Ryzen 7 5700X3D will have the same 8-core, 16-thread count as one of the top gaming CPUs on the market today, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. But, this may come at the cost of lower clock speeds. While the 5800X3D boasts a base clock speed of 3.4 GHz, which can be boosted to 4.5 GHz, the base clock speed of the 5700X3D is speculated to be 3.0 GHz, which can be boosted to 4.1 GHz. However, the 5700X3D is slated to join the Vermeer line of Ryzen 5000 CPUs, with a power draw of 105W and a speculated $299 MSRP at launch, which is speculated to be in late January 2024.

Like the other Ryzen CPUs that share the “3D” suffix, the Ryzen 5 5700X3D comes with 96 MB of L3 cache to improve gaming performance despite lower clock speeds. When coupled with an AMD graphics card such as the Radeon RX 7800XT, PC users will be able to use Smart Access Memory to further improve performance. In addition, the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D is slated to launch alongside the Ryzen 5 5600X3D, 5600GT, 5500GT, and Ryzen 7 5700 CPUs.

Between the new AM4 processors and the launch of Ryzen 8000 series APUs for laptops, AMD’s 2024 slate is taking shape. Only time will tell how PC gamers will react to the launch of AMD’s upcoming lineup.
